Creating Your Account

Registering a workspace
-----------------------

Blocks accounts are created through self-service registration. When you register, Blocks
automatically creates a **workspace** for you to manage your LMS connections, AI knowledge, team,
and billing.

#. Go to the Blocks sign-up page and choose **Create your workspace**.
#. Enter your **email address**, **first** and **last name**, and a **password**.
#. Submit the form to create your account.

.. note::

   Registration is restricted to valid organizational email addresses. Disposable or
   throwaway email domains are blocked. If your address is rejected and you believe this is an
   error, use the **Contact support** link on the sign-up or sign-in page.

Verifying your email
--------------------

For security, your account is **not active and you are not signed in** until you confirm your
email address.

#. After registering, check your inbox for a verification email from Blocks.
#. Open the email and click the **verification link**.
#. Once the link is redeemed, your account is activated and you can sign in.

If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. You can request a new
link with the **Resend activation email** option on the sign-in page.

Signing in
----------

#. Go to the Blocks sign-in page.
#. Enter the **email** and **password** you registered with.
#. Select **Log in** to open your workspace.

After signing in you arrive at the workspace **Overview**. See :ref:`workspace_overview` for a
tour of the workspace, or jump straight to the :ref:`quick_start`.

Inviting others
---------------

You do not need to share credentials to give colleagues access. Instead, invite them to your
workspace from the **Team** area, where you can assign roles such as owner, admin, or member.
