Usage Reports
=============

The **Usage report** area shows how AI features in your workspace are being used, so you can
track consumption against your :ref:`credits <billing>`.

Student AI usage
----------------

The usage report summarizes AI activity **per student** over a selected period, including:

* the **user ID** of each learner who triggered AI usage,
* the number of **events** (AI interactions) recorded, and
* the **credits** those interactions consumed.

If no AI usage was recorded for the selected period, the report shows an empty state.

Using the report
----------------

#. Open **Usage report** from the workspace sidebar.
#. Choose the **period** you want to review.
#. Review per-student events and credit consumption.

Why it matters
--------------

Usage reporting helps you:

* understand which activities and learners drive AI consumption,
* anticipate when you may approach your monthly credit allowance, and
* decide whether to upgrade your plan or buy a :ref:`credit pack <billing>`.
